Bournemouth Law Society President and Head of Commercial Property at Rawlins Davy  Neil White welcomed more than 300 members guests to the first Annual Lunch since the pandemic.

Neil told guests: “It is wonderful for everyone to get together once again after everything we have been through with the pandemic in the past two years.”

“As lawyers and as firms, we cannot exist in discrete bubbles and the society enables us to achieve things collectively that we cannot as individuals and firms achieve alone.”

He said that included contributing to and influencing the debate at national level or more locally, having a positive impact on the wellbeing of members and on matters of diversity and inclusion.

Mr Brandreth was a making a return visit to the BDLS lunch having been the speaker in 2001.

The author, broadcaster and former MP signed books and toured the tables during lunch before entertaining guests with a speech covering such diverse topics as politics, spending time with the Queen and the secrets of happiness. These include having a passion, being part of a community and interested in other people.
