Rawlins Davy Reeves chairman Martin Davies has helped to launch a new report highlighting the significant investment that has been going into Bournemouth town centre.
‘Believing in Bournemouth’ has been produced by the Bournemouth Town Centre BID of which Martin is chair.
It was unveiled at The Ivy in Bournemouth on Tuesday (March 31) by Martin and the BID’s chief operating officer Paul Kinvig.
The report has contributions from businesses, events and institutions that are investing in the town centre and showing their confidence in it.
These include The Ivy itself, Patch, This Workspace, the Botanist, Bobby’s, Bournemouth University, Bournemouth Writing Festival, Sport It First, Goadsby and numerous others.
Martin, who has been chair of the BID for nearly ten years told guests at the launch. “I am committed to Bournemouth, we are committed to Bournemouth.
“Over the years we’ve heard a lot of slogans which have led to not a lot of action.
“We want Believing in Bournemouth not to be the end of the journey but the start of it.
“This is a great place to be and it’s a great place to do business so please join us on the journey.
“We are not going to fix the problems of Bournemouth in isolation or by going it alone or expecting someone else to do it. We do it in partnership, working together.”
Mr Kinvig said the report was an an opportunity for “a relentless focus on the many positives in the town centre, not on the challenges.”
