How long will Estate Administration take?
Typically, obtaining the grant of probate takes 8 – 16 weeks in a straightforward estate. Collecting the assets then follows which can take between 2 – 5 weeks excluding dealing with the property. We can then pay the liabilities, legacies and expenses of the administration and it is then up to the executors as to when to distribute the residue depending on the potential for claims.
